Green Beans with Pearl Onions and Garlic

This recipe is adapted after a dish I had at a friend’s house when I was living in Texas. I do not have exact measurements though, so I am guessing here.

1 tbsp Olive oil
2 cups Green beans
1/2 cup Pearl Onions or sliced red onion
2-3 cloves Garlic, chopped
Salt & Pepper, to taste
1/2 tsp Sugar

Heat the oil in a pan. Add the green beans, onions, garlic, salt, pepper and sugar. Saute until the beans and onions are tender or caramelized. Which ever is preferred.

Fall Ham and Potato Soup

This recipe is from the Martha Stewart website. Tastes similar to a punch I have had at many party’s. The one with ice cream and ginger-ale. This recipe calls for raspberry or strawberry sorbet. We tried it with a mix of lime, raspberry and orange. Cheers.
